All in all, a pretty typical “base-building” kind of week. I didn’t assign myself any particularly strenuous workouts this week, I just wanted to make sure to get in a lot of time on my feet.
My Saturday long run was in the open space trails in the Foothills, primarily on trail 365. My main goal was to end the run feeling like I could’ve gone almost half as far again had I need to and like I could have run much faster also. I’m definitely happy with how I felt after 2+ hours of running. Other than some issues with my form (tensing up my arms and neck), I felt just fine afterward and had almost no pain or soreness during or after the run.
Another positive, promising week of training in the books.
